Headquartered in Garland, Texas, National Circuit Assembly manufactures ‘fully integrated printed circuit boards (PCB), cable and electro / mechanical manufacturing and test services to leading OEMs in the semiconductor, telecommunications, transportation, networking, medical, industrial controls, Radio Frequency (RF), and other high-technology industries’.

National Circuit Assembly was struggling to understand what the true costs were for each job. They did not know if they were making any money on specific projects and, if they were losing money, where in the manufacturing process they were doing so.

“One of the things we were looking for in an ERP system was the ability to integrate all the way from the quoting module to the financials and we didn’t have that. Well, everybody can do inventory control and entering a sales order, but we need a sharp flow of control, we need a quoting integrated with that module, and then of course, we need the financial to be part of it. The other thing that we found very attractive about DELMIAWORKS was the cloud-based product because we have multiple plants. We have a plant here in Garland, Texas, which is the headquarters, then we have a plant in Austin, Texas. And we have five surface-mount lines. Here, we got three in Austin. That three in Austin are the same as three of the lines here. For some of our customer, that becomes their disaster recovery plan and part of what makes that better is being able to use the same ERP tool in the cloud and being able for them to log in and we can talk on the phone. And say, “Okay, take a look at this module right now. You see what you see there?” Okay, I need you to go ahead and release that kit and etc, etc. So that’s a great tool from IQMS.”
