RPG Open Access: So misundestood

Jon Paris (Co-Founder of Partner400 and IBM Systems Magazine, Business Systems edition technical editor) and Marcel Sarrasin co-present this one-hour webinar on Wednesday 18th November 2015 at 6pm (GMT) focusing on RPG Open Access (OA).

Although there is increased interest in RPG OA, there is still a great deal of confusion about what it actually is and what it can do for the developer.

In a nutshell, RPG OA enables you to leverage existing RPG skills to access interfaces that RPG does not support natively. These interfaces include web browsers on any type of device, IFS, spreadsheets and data queues.

The webinar will cover:

  • The fundamentals of OA and how it can fit in your world
  • An OA handler template that writes to a CSV file in the IFS
  • How to modernise and mobilise green screens with Presto’s OA handler.
