If your organisation is developing applications (or thinking of developing applications) with PHP on the IBM i then you might be interested in a webinar that is running next week on Tuesday 21st April 2015 starting at 6pm British Summer Time.

Following hot on the heels of BCD Software (now Fresche Solutions) and Zend’s recent announcement about becoming the communities PHP on the IBM i primary resource, Zend’s IBM i expert Mike Pavlak will be leading this webinar with Marcel Sarrasin from BCD.

‘Optimise and debug PHP faster with Zend Server 8 and Z-Ray’

“More than half of the world’s web and mobile applications are written with PHP, the very same language that runs natively on IBM i using Zend Server from Zend Technologies. With PHP on the IBM i, you can build web and mobile applications easily and cost effectively. And you can keep everything on the IBM i”.

Pavlak and Sarrasin will show attendees how Zend Server 8 and Z-Ray enterprise-level tools can deliver secure, high performance PHP applications – and debug them quickly. Plus attendees will see how Zend Server Professional includes the support and security fixes you need for business applications.

He’ll specifically show how they can help:

  • Proactively find and fix bugs
  • Optimise application performance
  • Deliver high-quality applications faster.

The next day, on Wednesday 22nd April 2015there will be a webinar on creating Excel spreadsheets easily from your IBM i data.

‘IBM i to Excel – 3 Easy Ways to Create Spreadsheets’

If your IT staff are still spending time responding to endless requests to get IBM i data into spreadsheets, or your internal users are wasting time copying and pasting IBM i data into spreadsheets themselves then this webinar will be of interest.

Topics being covered include:

  • Creating IBM i web reports that can be exported as spreadsheets
  • Automatically converting and distributing spool files as spreadsheets
  • Empowering end users to convert spool file data to spreadsheets.

Attendees will also see examples of populating DB2 files with data from CSV files and creating spreadsheets using data from web-enabled green screens.

Don’t worry if you are unable to attend either webinar live. Sign up anyway and a link to the recording will be sent to you.
