Organisations use Presto from Fresche Solutions to modernise their IBM i (AS44) green screens. Presto can give existing IBM i green screens, and new RPG programmes a modern, web-based GUI, to make programmes and systems more efficient. It also allows you to add new functionality to existing programmes.
For many organisations, legacy systems on the IBM i perform business-critical operations, but outdated green-screen interfaces can present challenges as users have become accustomed to more modern interfaces. This can make systems less productive, as users are unable to easily access the data they need, and new recruits require extensive training to use and maintain the system.
Presto is a tool that uses the 5250 datastream or RPG Open Access to quickly and easily modernise green screens to a web-based GUI, available on mobile and with added functionality. Now, with the release of Presto 7, modernisation is even easier.
Fresche Solutions has released a new webinar, with Greg Patterson and Marcel Sarrasin, to showcase the new improvements to Presto.
In the webinar, they’ll show you how to increase productivity, improve workflows and slash training costs with this new release. You’ll see how easy it is to transform green screens to modern, user-friendly web pages.
The webinar also introduces some of the improvements in Presto 7. Modernisation projects can be accomplished even faster than before, with better mobile responsive capabilities; a more modern look straight out-of-the-box, thanks to a new skin; and a new API for improved usability.
Sign up and watch the webinar to find out more about the possibilities opened up by green screen modernisation. You’ll even see a live demonstration of Presto in action.
In short, Presto 7 gives RPG and COBOL developers a way to easily leverage existing applications and quickly deliver professional web applications.
