Catapult is a solution from BCD Software, who are part of Fresche Solutions, that automates the process of distributing IBM i reports and documents.
Our partners, BCD Software, have released the latest version of Catapult and Spool-Explorer, 8.1.0.
The new release can be downloaded as current PC and/or iSeries components from BCD from MyFrescheSolutions.com.
If you are upgrading to the latest release, there will be some specific action required. BCD Software specify:
“In this new version we’ve upgraded the EXODUS subsystem. The EXODUS51 is now called EXODUS55. It will be required for you to change your startup CL program to reflect this new subsystem name, STRSBS XL_EX55/EXODUS55.”
Some of the key changes to occur in Catapult and Spool-Explorer from version 8.1.0, include:

DRAG & DROP
Spool file attributes can now be easily dragged and dropped directly into the list filter.
DISPLAY LAST DATE
The last date and time that a rule has been run can now be added and displayed in an extra column in the Catapult Console.
NEW WARNINGS
If you acidentally add all your queues to the ‘Queues to Poll’ column, in the poller configuration, you can now recieve a specific warning (FS#25755).
NEW USE FOR CREATION DATE/TIME REPLACEMENT VALUE
In Catapult, you can now use the creation date/time replacement value with network polled files (FS#29111).
UPDATE EXODUS51
The old EXODUS51 has been raplaced with EXODUS55 in the latest version (Update your Start-up CL with STRSBS XL_EX55/EXODUS55).
